About the estate

The family-run winery Bodegas Jalón is located in Alberite in the Iregua Valley within the La Rioja region, managing ten hectares of its own vineyards at an altitude between 460 and 500 meters. The soils are dominated by clay marls, sandstones, and conglomerates, and the vines are cultivated organically without synthetic chemical products. The portfolio includes certified organic wines from the Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja made from Tempranillo, Mazuelo, and Graciano grape varieties. Under the brand names Peña Aldera and Lamiturri, the estate produces crianza and reserva wines. The elaboration process involves destemming, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats, and subsequent ageing in oak casks.
