About the estate

The Heredad Pangua Sodupe, S.C. estate draws on a long-standing tradition in viticulture cultivated across generations by the Pangua and Sodupe families, with its commercial origins established in 1989 in San Asensio. Today, the winery farms 25 hectares of estate-owned vineyards located in San Asensio, Briones, and San Vicente de la Sonsierra, featuring vines with an average age of 45 years. The soils across the various parcels are predominantly clay-limestone, while the agricultural approach focuses on sustainable and precision farming without the application of chemical fertilizers. Situated within the Rioja DOCa denomination, the estate combines traditional winemaking methods with innovative nuances to produce young wines, Crianzas, Reservas, Vinos de Autor, and Grandes Reservas.
