About the estate

The Hafner & Tschank GesnbR estate cultivates around seven hectares of vineyards on the southern slopes of the Leitha Mountains between Donnerskirchen and Purbach. The family-owned business, which has been in family hands for decades, is managed by Elisabeth and Josef Hafner alongside Mario Tschank. The portfolio includes traditional autochthonous varieties such as Welschriesling, Grüner Veltliner, and Zweigelt, as well as international and new varieties like Merlot, Syrah, and Muscaris. In the vineyards, the winery focuses on integrated, quality-oriented viticulture, sustainability, permanent cover crops, and the avoidance of herbicides. All grapes are harvested exclusively by hand to produce distinctive and high-quality wines.
