About the estate

The Frühwirth estate is a traditional family winery located in Klöch in the Vulkanland Steiermark region, managed jointly by father and son. The vineyards feature soils composed of basalt tuff, basalt gravel, clay marl, and sandstone, providing ideal conditions for grape varieties such as Traminer, Sauvignon blanc, Morillon, and Chardonnay. For its premium wines, the estate relies on strict grape selection as well as partial fermentation and maturation in barriques. Furthermore, the winery is officially certified as sustainable and belongs to the Eruptionswinzer group, which has established a private-law quality standard for vineyard classifications including Erste Lage and Große Lage.

Export markets include Germany.
