About the estate
The Freixenet enterprise has its origins in the La Freixeneda estate dating back to 1616 and the Casa Sala wine business founded in 1861. The Freixenet brand was launched in 1914 by Dolores Sala Vivé and Pedro Ferrer Bosch. In 1934, the company initiated its international expansion by opening an office in New Jersey. Today, Freixenet is recognized as an internationally known producer of sparkling wines and still wines.
