The Figula Pincészet estate was founded in 1993 in the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine region. The winery builds upon a long family tradition dating back to the 19th century through great-grandfather and esteemed winemaker István Tolnay. Today, the sons carry on the heritage of Mihály Figula while maintaining a dedicated, hands-on approach. The family personally manages and oversees every single process from vine care to bottle conditioning. Through their production, they aim to express the diversity, varied soil composition, and microclimate of the Balaton region.
