The family-owned Fernández Eguiluz, S.L., Bodegas estate was founded in 1989 in Ábalos within the La Rioja Alta region and cultivates 13 hectares of vineyards. The vines are situated in the Sonsierra Riojana, a subregion known for its continental climate and clay-limestone soils. The winery relies on traditional vineyard management, green harvesting in August, and manual grape picking carried out by the family and long-standing workers. Vinification involves carbonic maceration to produce fruity, fresh wines with a distinct character under the Rioja DOCa denomination.
