About the estate

The Familienweingut Schmidt estate located in Vogtsburg im Kaiserstuhl focuses on a nature-oriented, conventional-sustainable viticulture using exclusively organic fertilizers. Approximately ninety percent of the vineyard area is planted with Pinot varieties such as Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay, complemented by grape varieties like Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Gewürztraminer, Chenin Blanc, and Merlot. In the cellar, the wines receive the necessary time to develop in order to achieve varietal-typical qualities with elegant clarity or more structure and body. The portfolio is rounded out by cuvées such as Crémant, Secco, and Pino Magma.
