About the estate
The EARL Lechat et Fils estate has been run as a family business across three generations and is located in Vallet in the Loire Valley. The estate encompasses 43.5 hectares of vineyards cultivated with a diverse range of grape varieties including Muscadet, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Gros Plant, Pinot Gris, Gamay, Merlot, and Cabernet. The soils are predominantly composed of schist or gabbro, providing structure and complexity to the wines. Underground cellar tanks allow the wines to age for twelve to twenty-four months at a constant temperature. Production takes place entirely on the estate, from vineyard cultivation to bottling.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Merlot and Gros Plant.
