About the estate

The Dunesforde Vineyard estate was founded in 2016 by the Townsend family in North Yorkshire and ranks among the most northerly vineyards in the country. Inspired by time spent in Tuscany and local Roman history, the family-run winery cultivates nearly two hectares of vines in a cool climate. The carefully selected grape varieties include Bacchus, Solaris, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir Précoce. From these grapes, the estate produces both still white wines and traditional method sparkling wines. Alongside winemaking, the property offers tours, tastings, and event facilities on site.
