About the estate

The Domaine viticole Schumacher-Knepper looks back on a long history dating back to 1714 and is managed today in the tenth generation. The estate farms seventeen hectares of vineyards located largely in the renowned Felsberg site in Wintrange along the Luxembourg Moselle. The vineyards have been spared from land consolidation and feature in part over forty-year-old vines rooted in Keuper soil. Farming is carried out in an environmentally conscious manner with extensive soil cultivation, the avoidance of insecticides and herbicides, and demand-driven organic fertilization. The portfolio includes classic white wines as well as red wines such as the Lyra cuvée made from Pinot Noir and Saint Laurent, Blanc de Noirs, and specialized quality wines.
