About the estate
The Domaine Tart Avizat estate is located in Peyriac de Mer in the Languedoc region, situated on the edge of the Etang de Bages lagoon within a protected natural park landscape. The terroir features two distinct soil types, consisting of friable white sedimentary limestone near the lagoon and deeper soils of limestone gravel, silt, and sandstone further inland. Strong winds such as the Cers from the northwest and maritime breezes shape the local climate and ensure healthy conditions for the vineyards. Surrounded by garrigue, pine forests, and olive trees, the estate provides an ideal environment where the Grenache grape variety thrives.
