About the estate

The Domaine Les Maisons Rouges estate was established in 1994 by Élisabeth and Benoît Jardin in the Loire Valley and spans eleven hectares of vineyards within the Jasnières and Coteaux du Loir appellations. The property farms organically and biodynamically, employing hand harvesting and avoiding synthetic chemical products in the vineyard. White wines are produced exclusively from Chenin, whereas red wines focus on the historic local grape variety Pineau d’Aunis. Vinification is conducted on a parcel-by-parcel basis in oak barrels without the addition of commercial yeasts. The resulting wines are structured for longevity and designed to express the mineral typicity of the terroir.
