About the estate
The Maison Darragon estate has been run by the family for nine generations in the Vouvray appellation in the heart of the Loire Valley and covers 45 hectares of vineyards. The vines are predominantly planted with the Chenin Blanc grape variety, which thrives on clay-limestone and clay-siliceous soils. Additionally, Malbec, Pineau d'Aunis, and Grolleau are cultivated on sandier soils. The portfolio includes fine sparkling wines produced as Methode Traditionnelle alongside a broad range of elegant still wines and Touraine wines. Vinification takes place in a recently constructed cellar using temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, followed by aging in troglodytic cellars.
The eno directory lists 19 wines, mostly from Grolleau and Malbec.
