About the estate

The Domaine Henri Ruppert estate in Schengen looks back on a winemaking tradition dating back to 1680 and is managed in the eighth generation. Covering approximately 20 hectares of vineyards on steep slopes around the Stromberg, the winery primarily cultivates Burgundy varieties such Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Auxerrois. The soils composed of sand, shell limestone, and quartzite provide optimal conditions for producing powerful wines. In the cellar, the hand-harvested grapes undergo gentle processing and are aged in wooden or stainless steel vats.

The eno directory lists 29 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir.
