About the estate
The family-run Domaine du Haut Bourg estate is managed in the fourth generation by the brothers Hervé and Nicolas Choblet in the Loire Valley south of Nantes. The first vines were planted in 1944 and the vineyard area has since grown to 35 hectares. The estate's grape varieties include Melon de Bourgogne, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Folle Blanche, Gamay, and Cabernet, among others. Part of the vineyards is cultivated with respect for the environment and certified for organic farming. In addition to Muscadet, the portfolio includes white, rosé, and red wines.
