About the estate
Established in 1967, the Domaine du Haut Bellay estate is located in Montreuil-Bellay within the Loire Valley and spans a continuous 15-hectare vineyard. The soils combine clay and silt with Jurassic limestone subsoils, giving character to the wines produced under appellations such as Saumur, Saumur Blanc, Saumur Rosé, Cabernet d’Anjou, and Crémant de Loire. Cultivated grape varieties include Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, and Chardonnay. Part of the vineyard is certified organic, reflecting a commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly viticulture. Vinification and aging take place in a modern cellar equipped with natural climate control systems.
