About the estate

The Domaine de la Seigneurie estate is situated on one of the highest hills in the Saumurois area within the Val de Loire region and is led by third-generation winemaker Alban Foucher. Following international experience in Asia, North America, and Australia, he took over the family property in 2005 and continues to uphold traditional winemaking methods. The estate cultivates vineyards on diverse terroirs featuring clay-limestone, sandy, and stony soils. The plots are planted with varieties such as Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc, which mature under the influence of the local climate. The winery follows organic farming practices and holds the Haute Valeur Environnementale certification.
