About the estate
The D’Vagar Adegas winery is located in the heart of Leiro within the Ribeiro denomination in Spain and traces its roots back to 1970, when the founders' grandparents acquired the A Vasqueira vineyard. In 2021, brothers Antonio and Alberto García took over the estate to preserve the family heritage with a sustainable approach and deep respect for the environment. Situated on granite slopes and terraces, the vineyards are planted with native varieties such as Treixadura, Godello, Albariño, Sousón, and Caíño to produce distinctive white and red wines. Vinification relies on traditional methods, utilizing granite amphorae, clay vessels, and oak barrels, guided by patience and a strong connection to the local terroir.
