About the estate

The Crama Viile Metamorfosis estate manages 100 hectares of vineyards in the Romanian wine region of Dealu Mare. The buildings of the current winery date back to 1949 and were shaped by subsequent privatizations as well as the involvement of the Italian group Marchesi Antinori, which acquired a major stake in 2009. The portfolio of grape varieties includes international and native types such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Fetească Neagră, and Tămâioasă Românească. Part of the vineyards is cultivated according to organic farming regulations, with sustainability forming a core value of the company. The produced wines range from accessible entry-level bottlings to terroir-driven single-parcel wines.

The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Fetească Neagră and Pinot Noir.
