About the estate
The Coolhurst Vineyards estate is located in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in West Sussex and forms part of a seventh-generation family property. The winery was established by cousins Charlie and Will, who took over the management from their fathers. The production focuses on very small quantities of sparkling wines, including the single-varietal Pinot Noir rosé Lady Elizabeth and the Pinot Meunier Blanc de Noirs The Miller’s Tale. The wines undergo extended aging on the lees to highlight the fruit characteristics and autolytic development. The family coat of arms from 1792 serves as a central element for the classically designed labels.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

Our rosé is 100% Pinot Noir and is disgorged after 60 months on its lees. This enables us to showcase both the exuberance of the pinot's fruit and demonstrate some wonderous autolytic characteristics.

Our Blanc de Noirs is, unusually, 100% Pinot Meunier and is disgorged after 60 months on its lees, and a further 12 months on cork which allows for and encourages subtle Maillard reaction.
