About the estate
The Cognard Vignerons estate is a family-run winery founded in 1973 by Lydie and Max Cognard, and is now managed by Estelle Cognard. The property spans 15 hectares of vineyards in the Bourgueil and Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil appellations, where Cabernet Franc is cultivated as the sole grape variety. The winery practices 100 percent mechanical soil cultivation and received official organic certification in 2020. Over the decades, the infrastructure has been continuously developed, including the construction of an air-conditioned cellar and the installation of temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.
