Château Pontet Canet

About the estate

The Château Pontet Canet estate is located in the Médoc and looks back on a history that began at the start of the 18th century in 1700. The winery covers a vineyard area of 81 hectares with approximately 800,000 vines within the AOC Pauillac denomination. The vineyard soils consist of Günz gravel over a limestone base, as well as limestone- and clay-rich parcels near the river. The vineyards are primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and Petit Verdot. Management and winemaking focus on a precise understanding of the individual parcels and traditional craftsmanship.
