Château Monconseil Gazin

About the estate

The Château Monconseil Gazin estate is located in Plassac and has been managed by the Baudet family across generations since 1894. The vineyards cover 35 hectares of clay-limestone soils on gentle southern slopes that benefit from a favorable microclimate. The red grape varieties are dominated by Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and the local Malbec, while two hectares are dedicated to Sauvignon and Sémillon. The estate is committed to sustainable and environmentally conscious farming practices, being the first certified Terra Vitis producer in Blaye. Vinification takes place entirely at the property, ensuring rigorous monitoring of the wines from the vineyard to bottling.
