The Chateau la Croix de Gay estate looks back on half a millennium of history in the AOC Pomerol appellation and is located in the historic hamlet of Pignon. The property is situated on a hill in the Bordeaux region characterized by clay, ancient Günz gravel, and iron oxides. Managed by the oldest winegrowing family in the appellation, the estate focuses primarily on Merlot, which produces wines of remarkable finesse and aromatic notes of violet and truffle on these soils. Through the unique combination of geology and traditional craftsmanship, structured and long-lived wines of high originality are created.
