About the estate
The Château Guiraud estate manages 128 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Sauternes appellation on a terroir composed of gravel, sand, and clay. Acquired in 1766 by the protestant and republican merchant family Guiraud, the winery has long cultivated its singularity alongside a distinct preference for Sauvignon Blanc. Led by Sandrine Garbay and integrated into the Terres de Natures label, the property emphasizes biodiversity to produce a contemporary Sauternes characterized by notable freshness. Wine tourism has also been a central focus of the estate for two decades.
