About the estate
The Chateau Guimberteau estate looks back on more than three centuries of preserved family winemaking traditions. The vineyards cover a total surface area of approximately eight and a half hectares with sandy-gravelly soils and an iron oxide-rich subsoil. The wines are produced from the Bordeaux grape varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Traditional vinification methods feature long maceration periods followed by several months of aging in oak barrels before bottling. This approach yields a balanced, elegant and powerful wine with strong aging potential.
