About the estate
The family-run Château Fontiès estate is located in the heart of Languedoc in Fontiès-d'Aude, with a history dating back to its creation in 1860. The vineyards are situated in the Corbières appellation at the foot of the Montagne d’Alaric on clay-limestone soils. The terroir benefits from a climate combining Mediterranean, Atlantic, and oceanic influences. The plantings include traditional regional varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan, alongside Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Vinification and bottling take place directly on-site under the supervision of an experienced estate manager and a partner oenologist.
