About the estate

The historic Château Coussin estate is managed by the Sumeire family in the eighth generation in Trets, Provence, and looks back on a history spanning two thousand years. The vineyards are situated on rolling, slightly elevated terrain in the Sainte-Victoire terroir, which is classified as the first Cru of Côtes de Provence. Certified as High Environmental Value and surrounded by pine forests, the property produces rosé, red and white wines alongside olive oil and honey. The family has been rooted in the region since the thirteenth century and continues to shape the estate today. The winery is notably known for a historical connection with the sculptor César, who designed a compression artwork for its labels.
