About the estate
The Château Barrabaque estate is located in the heart of the Fronsac and Canon Fronsac appellations near Pomerol and Saint-Émilion. In 1936, the wine merchant Achille Noël acquired this 18th-century historic property, which has been managed by the family ever since. After being directed by Nicole Noël, Caroline Noël-Barroux took over the management of the estate in 2004. Production focuses primarily on wines made from the Merlot grape variety, such as Château Barrabaque Tradition, Château Barrabaque Prestige, Cuvée Hugo, and the single-varietal Merlot de Barrabaque. The portfolio also includes white and rosé wines.
The eno directory lists 9 wines, mostly from Malbec and Merlot.
