The Champagne house Champagne Nicolas Maillart has a winemaking tradition dating back to 1703 in the neighboring village of Chamery, with historical records extending as far back as 1533. Today, the estate is managed by the ninth generation with Nicolas Maillart, who returned in 2003 following his studies in engineering and oenology. The philosophy of the winery focuses on expressing the distinct potential of the Champagne terroirs through its wines. As part of its environmental commitment, the estate has utilized a photovoltaic system since 2009 to cover its entire energy consumption.
