About the estate
The Champagne house Champagne Gruet has its roots in the village of Buxeuil within the Côte des Bar, where the family has been established since 1670. The winemaking tradition was passed down from father to son across generations until Claude Gruet commercialized his first cuvées in 1975. Today, the estate continues its work in familial continuity as Claude Gruet and his wife have transmitted their passion to their son, Pierre-Charles Gruet. The vineyards are situated in a landscape of wooded hills between the Aube and Seine rivers. In this terroir, the estate cultivates classic Champagne grape varieties including Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Arbane, and Petit Meslier.
