About the estate
The Certosa di Belriguardo estate looks back on a long history dating back to 1348, when it was established by Catholic monks near Siena. Long owned by the traditional Sienese Nannini family, Gianna Nannini took over the estate in 2006. The vineyards cover an area of eight hectares situated on the rolling hills of the Chianti dei Colli Senesi. The primary focus of cultivation is the Sangiovese grape variety, with all vineyard management carried out entirely by hand. The estate avoids the use of synthetic fertilizers and herbicides, and is currently undergoing conversion to organic farming.
The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Sangiovese.
