About the estate
The Cave Émile Balland estate was established in the year 2000 by Émile Balland, who comes from a long line of winemakers. The winery cultivates a vineyard area of approximately 8.5 hectares across the Coteaux du Giennois and Sancerre appellations. Vineyard management follows reasoned practices, including the experimental use of animal traction on a small part of the estate. In the cellar, vinification focuses on minimal intervention to best process healthy grapes at the desired stage of maturity. The resulting cuvées reflect the distinct styles of their respective origins.
