About the estate
The Cascina Montagnola winery was founded in 1997 in Viguzzolo by a group of friends uniting a shared passion for wine with a desire for innovation. The vineyards extend in a single plot behind the main residence at an altitude of approximately 150 to 160 meters, facing south and southwest. On the predominantly clay soils with a marly-clay substrate, grape varieties such as Barbera, Cortese, Croatina, Chardonnay, Timorasso, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc are cultivated. A particular highlight is a historical Barbera vineyard dating back to the 1950s, while Timorasso represents the characteristic wine of the Colli Tortonesi DOC.
The eno directory lists 11 wines, mostly from Timorasso and Barbera.
