About the estate
The Cantina Scuropasso winery was founded in 1962 in Pietra de' Giorgi in Oltrepò Pavese by Federico and Primo De’ Contardi, and is now run by the third and fourth generations of the family. Old vineyards covering 15 hectares are cultivated across the municipalities of Pietra de' Giorgi, Canneto Pavese, Cigognola and Ruino. The estate focuses on the production of Metodo Classico from Pinot Noir, alongside traditional red wines and a white wine made from regional grape varieties. The winery is particularly known for its sparkling wines with extended yeast aging, released under the Roccapietra brand.
