About the estate

The Bodegas y Viñedos Valtravieso, S.L. estate is situated in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region on one of the highest limestone plateaus at over 900 meters of altitude. The origins of the winery date back to 1995, while the González Beteré family acquired and modernized the bodega in 1994. Surrounded by 80 hectares of its own vineyards, the estate works with minimal intervention and follows ecological farming practices. In addition to the core region of Ribera del Duero, the operations extend to the appellations of Arlanza, Jumilla, Ribera del Júcar, and Rueda. For aging, the winery utilizes French and American oak barrels, foudres, and concrete eggs to preserve freshness and minerality.

The eno directory lists 16 wines, mostly from Tempranillo and Albillo Mayor. The estate sells to retail.
