About the estate

Bodegas y Viñedos Larraz Sociedad Limitada in Cenicero within the Rioja DOCa region was founded in 1949 by Teodoro Bolaños Ros and Jesusa Larraz Irigaray at the La Cuesta estate and spans 17 hectares of vineyards. The estate is certified organic by CPAER, and in 2019 was among the first eight producers to receive the Viñedo Singular designation by the Rioja DOCa regulatory council. Viticulture involves manual harvesting of Tempranillo vines over 40 years old trained in the gobelet system. The production of the two dry red wines from the 2019 to 2020 vintages includes fermentation in stainless steel tanks and 12 months of aging in new French Allier oak barrels without fining or filtration, featuring the Caudum Bodegas Larraz Selección Especial which was awarded 94 points in the Guía Vivir el Vino 2021. The portfolio consists of two wines under the Caudum label, exclusively dedicated to Tempranillo. The wines are bottled in 0.75-litre formats and distributed directly through the winery, with prices ranging from 45.00 EUR to 54.00 EUR per bottle.
