About the estate

The family-owned Bodegas Vallemayor winery is located in Fuenmayor within the Rioja Alta area and builds upon a family tradition in winemaking that dates back to the 19th century. In 1984, Luis Pérez Foncea opened new facilities and began bottling his own brands under the Rioja DOCa denomination. The estate manages a total of 130 hectares of vineyards, comprising both owned and controlled plots. For the vinification and maturation of the wines, the winery features modern facilities equipped with stainless steel tanks and approximately 3,000 barrels made of American and French oak.
