The Bodegas Álvarez Piñeiro estate is a traditional family-run business based in Monforte de Lemos with a history spanning four generations of winemakers. The estate's own harvests come from centuries-old vineyards in Vilachá de Salvadur within the Ribeira Sacra region, where steep slopes require labour-intensive manual cultivation. Production follows organic and artisanal methods without the use of herbicides or chemical additives. Native grape varieties such as the red Mencía and Garnacha as well as the white Godello are cultivated. The portfolio includes natural wines that are distributed directly in bottles as well as in alternative packaging.
