About the estate
The Rafael Palacios winery was established in 2004 in the Valle del Bibei within the Valdeorras DO. The founder acquired old vineyards of the native white Godello variety from elderly local winegrowers. Today, the estate manages 24.5 hectares of vineyards across 32 parcels, benefiting from a continental climate with Atlantic influence. The vineyards are situated at altitudes between 620 and 740 meters on sandy soils formed by the natural degradation of granite and quartz schists. Farming is conducted traditionally with ecological treatments, incorporating biodynamic practices for the oldest parcels.
