About the estate

Founded in 1958, the Bezirkswinzergenossenschaft Wonnegau eG cooperative cultivates a vineyard area of around 640 hectares in the Rhine-Hessian region with 160 active members from over 20 municipalities. This makes the enterprise the largest winegrowers' cooperative in Rheinhessen and one of the largest winegrowers' cooperatives in Rhineland-Palatinate. Well-known vineyard sites include Rosengarten, Silberberg, Kirchenstück, Liebfrauenmorgen, Domblick, Pilgerpfad, and Bergkloster. The customer base of the winery includes large sparkling wine cellars and wineries in Germany, wine-producing businesses, regional grocery retail, gastronomy businesses, and end consumers.

The eno directory lists 22 wines, mostly from Blauer Portugieser and Riesling. The estate sells to distributors, horeca and retail.
