About the estate
The Adega Ruchel estate is located in the Valdeorras region in the southeast of the province of Orense in Spain. Spanning approximately 3,000 hectares, the wine-growing area extends as a fertile and bright valley along the Sil River. The landscape is shaped by granite, slate, and red and black soils where vines grow alongside chestnut and olive trees. A special Mediterranean-oceanic microclimate favors viticulture in this historic area, which was already planted with vines by the Romans.
