About the estate

The 1276 Wines estate is located in Ledbury in Herefordshire, England, and spans 10.1171 hectares of vineyards. The historical origins of viticulture at this site date back to 1276, before the land was replanted with vines in 2012 by Cilla and Tim Sobey. Situated on slopes characterized by rich red clay soils, the winery produces both still and sparkling wines. Under the guidance of Head Winemaker Laurence Cocking, the team focuses on preserving fruit character, following the establishment of the winery by Angus Davison. In addition to its own production, the estate also provides contract winemaking services for other regional vineyards.
