La bodega Sugrue South Downs fue fundada en 2006 por Dermot Sugrue y hoy es dirigida conjuntamente con Ana Sugrue. La finca cultiva alrededor de nueve hectáreas y media de viñedos en East y West Sussex, con suelos de tiza. La producción se centra en vinos espumosos que se fermentan en barricas viejas de roble y se crían durante varios años antes de su comercialización.
