Über den Betrieb
Das Weingut Gentilini wurde im Jahr 1978 auf der griechischen Insel Kefalonia gegründet, nachdem der Gründer Spiro Kosmetatos zuvor seine ersten Reben gepflanzt hatte. Heute bewirtschaftet der Familienbetrieb eine Rebfläche von zehn Hektar und legt den Fokus auf lokale Rebsorten sowie die Erzeugung charaktervoller Weine. Im Jahr 2002 übernahm die nächste Generation mit Tochter Marianna und ihrem Ehemann Petros Markantonatos die Leitung des Anwesens. Das Sortiment umfasst neben einer Kernreihe von Weinen auch jährliche experimentelle Abfüllungen, wobei stets auf geringe Mengen zugunsten der Qualität geachtet wird.
Im eno-Verzeichnis sind 13 Weine erfasst, überwiegend aus Robola und Vostilidi. Der Betrieb beliefert Importeure, Distributoren, Gastronomie und Handel. Exportiert wird unter anderem nach Frankreich, Deutschland und Belgien.

Made from Robola grown in the oldest vineyard at 850m altitude. 50% of the must is inoculated with native Robola yeast while 20% of the total is fermented in French and American oak barrels to give additional depth and complexity.
