About the estate

The organic Zillinger Johannes estate located in Velm-Götzendorf in the Weinviertel has been operating according to organic and biodynamic principles for over 40 years. The avoidance of chemicals and manipulation as well as healthy soils form the basis for the estate's characterful wines. In the vineyard, the winemaker relies on circular farming, the cultivation of herbs for extracts, and grazing by sheep, chickens, and Kune Kune pigs. Additionally, planted trees and bushes act as natural air conditioners to promote biodiversity and shape a unique terroir. In the cellar, the wines are crafted with low intervention.

The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Sauvignon Blanc. The estate sells to importers and distributors. Export markets include Belgium, Croatia, Czechia and Germany.
