About the estate

The Landgasthaus Winkelhofer in Eggendorf am Walde in the Weinviertel region looks back on a history with roots dating back to the 18th century. In 1972, the village inn was taken over by Irmgard and Johann and is now run in the third generation by Gisi and Hannes Winkelhofer. In addition to the restaurant, the family business operates its own agriculture with livestock and a small, dedicated viticulture. On a small vineyard area, Johann cultivates four different white wine varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Frühroter Veltliner, Gelber Muskateller and Weißburgunder. In the wine cellar, he crafts these wines with experience and a sensitive touch.
