The Wijngoed de Hennepe estate is situated in the Achterhoek landscape in the municipality of Aalten, where modern viticulture has been practiced on ancient soils for over a decade. The vineyards are cultivated in as natural a way as possible, featuring a ground cover of grass, clover, and flowers between the rows. Clover naturally fixes nitrogen to minimize the need for artificial fertilizers, while flowers attract beneficial insects that prey on pests. The harvested grapes are processed with great care into regional wines, which are sold directly at the winery.
