About the estate
The Danouise estate is located in Houwaart in the Hageland region on the southern slopes of the Houwaartseberg. The soils of the hilly landscape consist of regionally typical, iron-rich sandstone, which imparts a characteristic taste to the wines. The beginnings date back to 1994, when the project started as a hobby with the planting of the first fifty vines. Meanwhile, the vineyard has grown to around 1,200 vines cultivated with various grape varieties. The winery also offers guided tours and tastings on site.
